Desi Food Caters

Find the caterer by the cuisine, not the keyword.

"Indian catering" is a useless search when what you need is Hyderabadi dum biryani for 400, or a pure-veg Gujarati thali, or a proper Punjabi tandoor line. Desi Food Caters is a directory that files every caterer under the cuisine they actually cook and the metro they actually serve — and it's opening cuisine by cuisine.

Nine cuisines, each its own guide.

Each guide opens when it has verified caterers to show. None are open yet — we list honestly or not at all. Caterers can claim their cuisine below.

Filed under the metro they actually serve.

A caterer forty minutes from your hall is a real option; one three hours away is not. Every listing in this directory states its home metro and delivery radius, so a search for "Gujarati caterer, Chicagoland" means exactly that.

These are the first metros we're recruiting caterers in, roughly in order of how often desi families have asked us about them.

Listing standard

What every listing must state before it's published.

Directories rot when they fill with stale, vague entries. Ours stay useful because a listing can't go live without the four facts families actually decide on — and a listing that stops answering for them comes down.

Placement is never paid. Cuisines and regions sort alphabetically, and there are no "featured" slots to buy.

  • Cuisine, named preciselyHyderabadi is not "North Indian." Listings claim the cuisines they cook, not the ones that search well.
  • Capacity rangeSmallest and largest event the kitchen will take, in guests.
  • Metro and radiusHome base plus how far delivery and on-site service actually travel.
  • Dietary factsPure veg or mixed kitchen, Jain options, halal/zabiha sourcing — stated, not implied.

For caterers

Claim your cuisine before your competitor does.

Founding caterers get listed free when their cuisine's guide opens, and set the bar their later competitors are measured against. If you cook for desi weddings and events anywhere in the US, tell us where and what.

We verify the four listing facts with you by phone before anything is published — nothing goes live on form data alone.

Listings open as each guide launches — this form doesn't transmit anything yet.
